Invitation to the morning coffee with the gurus of Fairtrade from the Netherlands, Finland and Tanzania
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Estonia in cooperation with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Estonian Green Movement are organising a seminar "Fairtrade - following the Dutch example".
The seminar will be held on November 15, 2007, from 9.30 to 13.30 in the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Toomkooli 17, Tallinn.
The seminar introduces Fairtrade - the current market trends, the Dutch contribution to its evolution, some of the best Dutch Fairtrade business practices and the impact of Fairtrade labelled products to producers, consumers and enterprises.

10.00-10.10 Opening words by Mr Siim Raie, Director General of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
10.10-10.20 Welcoming speech by Mr Henk van der Zwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Estonia
10.20-10.50 Mrs Ilona Hofstra, Member of the Board of the Max Havelaar (Holland) The role of Holland at the development of the Fairtade system (Max Havelaar is the Dutch organisation launched the FairTrade certification)
10.55-11.25 Mr Jeroen Kroezen, CEO AgroFair (Holland) AgroFair business strategy, that made AgroFair the world leading producer of Fairtrade labelled fruits. (AgroFair is the Dutch fruit company)
11.30-12.00 Mr John Kanjagaile, Export Manager of Tanzanian coffee farm Kagera Cooperatives Union How the concept of Fairtrade affects the local producers and its workers. (based on an example of one of the oldest coffee farms in Africa)
12.05-12.35 Mr Erkki Toivanen, renowned journalist and publisher, Goodwill Ambassador for Fairtrade in Finland The global impact of this rapidly growing international system
12.40-13.30 Introduction of the Fairtrade products available in Estonia (coffee, tea, chocolate, fruits, sugar, cacao, sweets, vines, banana beer, etc)
